🧪 TemplateSideScroll Update – Super Metroid Map, Squash FX, and Player Enhancements

In this devlog video, I showcase the latest features added to TemplateSideScroll. Here's what's new:

🗺️ Metroid-style Map

• Mini-map shows explored rooms in real-time

• Press TAB to open a full-screen map overlay

👟 Footstep Sounds

• New footstep SFX when the player moves while grounded

• Improves feedback and immersion

🎈 Squash & Stretch Effect

• Dynamic sprite scaling when jumping, landing, or dashing

• Adds a smooth and expressive animation touch

⬇️ Crouch Mechanic

• Press down to crouch

• Crouch + Jump lets you fall through one-way platforms

Everything is modular and optimized for mobile development.
